The West Barnstable FD provides fire code inspections and plan review for all properties in West Barnstable (including smoke detector & carbon monoxide detector inspections required for the sale of a home). To schedule an inspection please call the fire station at 508-362-3241.
All homes and buildings must have street numbers visible from or at the street so emergency responders can identify the house. This is required by state and local law and is a requirement for inspections.
Projects requiring building permits should start with filing for permits with the Town of Barnstable Building Department.
